Third grade is so much fun! We learn a lot in a few short months, and we do it with many creative hands-on activities to make it memorable.
One of my goals is to see students engaged in the work of the day. We will use our Promethean board regularly, do creative activities with our writing lessons, and find ways to weave students' personal strengths, interests, and abilities into what we study. We are planning great field trips, Science Lab experiences, and even an elaborate mystery for third grade to solve as we kick off the year.
As you know, third graders take their relationships seriously. We work hard in my class to support each other and build each other up. We clap and cheer to bring out the best in our classmates. We intentionally develop healthy relationships.
I have a large number of parent volunteers in room B171 this year. I look forward to your involvement as we work toward making this your child's best year yet.
